Proudly prepping the toughest maniacs

As a headline sponsor and Official Health Club Partner to the Absa Cape Epic, we’re behind you all the way.

It’s beautiful. It’s gruelling. And it’s challenging enough to make you scream 4-letter words at your riding partner. Only to hear them spit something back at you like: “We’re not stopping! Let’s go!”

It’s the Absa Cape Epic and it’s not called epic for nothing. Not everyone makes it to the finish line. But you can. It just takes preparing yourself physically and mentally… With a bit of good luck thrown into the mix. And although we might not be able to teach you how to fix a puncture, we can build your stamina and strength with our state-of-the-art fitness equipment and awesome classes.

Club V for the little critters

If you have kids and your right-hand man or woman is coming to support you, then our Club-V offering at the Absa Cape Epic is good news for you. It’s a kids-only zone designed to not just keep them busy, but to inspire them to get active. There will be a Club-V at every stage and it’s for everyone between the ages of 3 and 13.

Our Club-V team is trained in a number of movement programmes and they know exactly how to rev up those little ones so that being active is fun and full of laughs. Our experts are also qualified in first aid, so there’s no need to worry for a moment about them.

Activities include:

Swing Ball, Soccer, Cricket, Active Play*, Skills and Drills, Free Play, Mini Obstacle Courses, BASE activities** and more. A pump track will be available for kids to try out their bike skills on, at both the Prologue and Grand Finale venues.

* Active Play is a fundamental skills development programme for children ages 3 – 7 years, designed collaboratively by Stellenbosch Kinderkinetics and Virgin Active.
** BASE is a Virgin Active play system, which utilises soft blocks and wedges to create a modular platform, providing endless movement activities for children.
